Great Route of Santa Maria
The Great Route of Santa Maria is a circular trail that runs along the entire island for a length of 78 kilometers, taking you through areas of geomorphological and scenic/natural interest and old rural paths that cross the oldest Island in the Azores (+/- 8 MA). Along this route, these unique characteristics become evident in scenes of great beauty and geological phenomena that give the Island some of its particularities, inviting you to discover places of incredible scenic beauty and scientific interest.
We provide 2 options for this Experience, Great Route Guiding and Great Route Logistics.
Great Route Guiding
We plan everything for you, feel safe and enjoy the Great Route. Our service also includes interpreting what you see concerning fauna, flora, geology, history, culture and ways of living.
